Consumers International (CI) members around the world are gearing up for World Consumer Rights Day 2009 which takes place on 15 March.
In Macau, the Consumer Council pledged to support and promote the Junk Food Generation campaign. You can read a full account of the pledge in the Macau Daily Times.
Consumer Report, the Council’s magazine, also features the Junk Food Generation Campaign in Portuguese and Chinese.
And in Nigeria, the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has launched a campaign to promote young people’s health. The Council is discussing a possible partnership with the Diabetes and Hypertension Health Society to create awareness of children’s diet and lifestyle and encourage healthy alternatives.
