Junk food campaign in Ukraine

The EU-UNDP Consumer Society and Citizen Networks Project have launched a campaign to fight the marketing and consumption of junk food in the Ukraine. CI’s Acting Deputy Director, Bjarne Pedersen, was a keynote speaker at the launch of the campaign. It includes a series of posters that will be featured on billboards in all major cities around Ukraine.

What do you think about them? Would they stop you from eating junk food? Do they show the dangers of an unhealthy diet?

I don't know what the text in the ad says but the pictures are an interesting concept. I think it's a nice try. I am becoming a bit jaded on the ability of these to have any sort of real impact on people's decisions up against both the massive amounts of marketing for fast food, and the way society is set up to make fast food access so easy. just like with smoking, years of these types of campaigns did not have impact that taxes, laws and public policy have had. Canada's new "participation" commercials are entertaining. They portray little kids as eldery adults with all sorts of health problems related to bad eating and no physical activity.

The post literally says "Fast food-fast help" meaning if you are a great admirer of chips and hamburgers you are most likely to end up in a hospital. It is both a long-perspective danger (nuitrition disorders, obesity problems) and an immediate effect (digestion problems, food poisoning)

This is surely a result of the parents having taught the children to use the wrong types of food early in childhood. When the child beocmes a young audult it becomes more difficult to give it up. Thus a bad habit is passed on to the younger genertion. Since every parent intorduces their child to these so called treats
